Well, we have had what must be our busiest summer season to date. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe was our busiest ever with several of our regular venues growing in size.
July was also an incredibly busy month. We spent a fantastic (although a bit windy and wet) week up in Shetland at the Shetland Tall Ships 2011 festival. This gave us a great opportunity to get our new Prolyte Arcroof stage out and about in some rather challenging weather conditions. Suffice to say that it performed flawlessly and the event over-all was a great success. We supplied the complete production for this stage including lighting, sound, backline and crew. We also supplied a large proportion of the site power for the whole event - an entire 40' truck of cable and distro to be precise.
New - Prolyte ArcRoof: Covered Outdoor Stage System
Our hire department will be taking delivery of our new covered, outdoor stage system. This system is ideal as a small stage for events such as festivals, roadshows, products launches, sporting events and open air theatre performances.
The stage system is manufactured by Prolyte and will complement our existing investment in staging and trussing components from this manufacturer. The stage measures 8m wide by 6m deep, stands approximately 1.5 off the ground and the roof reaches a height of approximately 4m above the stage deck. The stage itself acts as a ballast to the roof structure, enabling this stage to be built on alomost any surface without any requirement to provide ground anchors or additional ballast. The roof structure can also support a full lighting and sound rig and additional PA wings can also be added to increase the usable stage area.
The stage can be supplied on its own or we offer a number of sound and lighting packages for different events at competitive rates.

These are now used extensively in professional theatre, television and now for conference work too.
